Surgery !

Held a joint surgery with British Gas today. Found out a lot about their Here to Help Scheme. If someone is claiming any form of benefit, they can have free insulation in their properties. There is also a scheme for people not on benefit. They can claim a considerable discount for insulation and associated improvements for the house.

BBC Interview

Had an interview with the BBC today for a programme called Taro Law. It was with regard to new building regulations introduced to reduce the levels of radon gas. I believe Flintshire County Council is one of the first Councils in Wales to put these regulations in place.

Civic Service and Lunch in Ruthin Castle

My wife and I attended a Civic Service and Lunch in Ruthin Castle which was most enjoyable. The service was very uplifting, and it gave me an opportunity to talk to a lot of people from the local area.
Meeting people is one of my favourite roles as an AM.

First Day of Conference

I heard The Leader of the Welsh Conservatives give a speech which was excellent.
I did a brief interview with Radio Cymru and discussed the Leader's Speech and issues relating to working with other parties. I think parties should only work together if it is for the benefit of the people of Wales.
I then attended a British Sports Fringe Meeting.
